Hi, I’m Aaron!
Novi Neighbor. I have been given every opportunity that this city has to offer. I graduated from Novi High School where I was able to be involved in the technical arts and our one-of-a-kind broadcasting department. After graduation I worked for the Novi Schools on the facilities and technical staff, helping to mentor students and working community events. As an inaugural member of the City of Novi Cultural Arts Advisory Board in 2013, I helped the City to develop initial planning, programming, and use of the Villa Bar Art Park.
Attorney. As a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy Law School, serving my clients is my passion. I have been proud to represent people throughout the state of Michigan in times when they have needed an advocate most. I am a published legal writer who has been on the leading edge of changes in the law. I previously served an appointment as a Special Assistant Attorney General for our state’s mental health system. Today, I maintain a private practice representing people across the state of Michigan.
Public Servant. When it comes to finding solutions for our community, I have been willing to work with both political parties to get it done. As a Legislative Intern, I worked with Novi’s former Republican State Representative to propose and advance legislation which provides our police and first responders with heroin overdose treatments - a law among the first of its kind in America. As the Legislative Director for State Representative Kelly Breen, I worked on legislation which protected the labor rights of sheriff deputies, and expand affordability of child care services in our state.
New Dad. My wife April and I own our home in the Willowbrook Estates subdivision with our 18 month old son August. Like so many other parents, we know that raising our son in our hometown will provide opportunities that can’t be found anywhere else. April and I are more invested than ever in Novi’s future, and we are excited to play a part in its future success.
Future Council Member. I am running for City Council because I believe that our City is at its best when our leaders are engaged, goal oriented, and responsive to residents. I believe good leaders don’t simply rest on their laurels or follow the crowd - they engage with their communities and push the boundaries of what is possible. I have a proven track record of identifying problems and rolling up my sleeves to develop data oriented solutions - and I have always been willing to work with anyone regardless of their political party. With your vote and your support, we can build a stronger future for our community.
